01Understanding the service
From Registration to a Booked Delete
Your registration tells us the engine and engine computer, your postcode tells us where the technician needs to be, and the dashboard photo shows how urgent it is. With those three, we confirm whether an AdBlue Delete suits your vehicle, the quotation and an appointment, subject to availability.
What An AdBlue Delete Changes On Your Vehicle
The engine computer decides how much AdBlue to inject, reads the NOx and level sensors, and starts a restart countdown when it thinks the system has failed. An AdBlue Delete is a software change to that engine computer: it stops the AdBlue (SCR) system running and being monitored, and clears the related warnings and countdown. Nothing is unbolted. The tank, pump, heater and sensors stay where they are, and you no longer need to buy or top up AdBlue.
Who Books An AdBlue Delete
Most enquiries come from three situations: a van or car showing a "no restart in X miles" message with work still to do, a warning that has returned after the tank was topped up or a part was already changed, and a vehicle that has reached zero and will not restart on the driveway. In each case the useful first step is the same: the registration, the exact message and how many miles are left.
Warnings An AdBlue Delete Is Used For
UREA messages on Peugeot, Citroën and other Stellantis vehicles, AdBlue system malfunction and SCR messages, NOx sensor warnings, warnings that stay on after refilling, and restart countdowns. Some vans, such as certain Mercedes-Benz Sprinters, reduce power when an AdBlue, SCR or NOx fault is stored. Not every warning comes from the AdBlue system, so the stored codes are read before the work is agreed.
Checking Suitability Before You Book
Two vehicles with the same badge can have different engines and engine computers. We check your registration first, and tell you straight away if we cannot help, rather than after a technician has travelled. Some newer vehicles have protected engine computers that need unlocking before software work. This depends on the ECU type, hardware and software version, not just the registration year. ECU unlocking is charged separately and any extra cost is confirmed before work begins.
What Happens at the Appointment
The technician comes to your home, workplace or another agreed safe place. The engine computer is read and the original software is saved, the AdBlue Delete is applied, stored faults are cleared, and the vehicle is started and checked before the technician leaves. If the vehicle has already stopped, tell us where it is parked so access can be planned.
Quotation, No Fix No Fee and Warranty
The price depends on the vehicle, its engine computer, whether unlocking is needed and where you are, and is confirmed before booking. No Fix, No Fee: if we cannot complete the job, there is no charge. Lifetime Software Warranty: applies to the software work on that vehicle; if the covered work develops a problem, we correct it again. Later software updates or recalls void the warranty, and callout charges are not covered. 24/7 emergency callouts are available at an additional charge, confirmed before dispatch, subject to availability.

Will an AdBlue Delete stop the restart countdown?

Is AdBlue Delete the same as AdBlue Removal?
Yes. They are two names for the same software service. Some people say removal because they expect parts to be taken off, but the tank, pump and sensors stay fitted.
My vehicle has reached zero and will not start. Can you still do it?
Often, yes, at the place where it stopped. Tell us the vehicle is not starting, where it is parked and whether there is safe access, and we will check what can be arranged, subject to availability.
Do I still need to buy AdBlue afterwards?
No. Once the AdBlue system is no longer running on a suitable vehicle, you do not need to top it up. Any fluid left in the tank can stay there.
Is an AdBlue software delete the same as an AdBlue remap?
