01Understanding the service
Note the number: photograph the message and the miles left. Do not keep turning the engine off and on to test it, as on many vehicles the no-start applies at the next restart once the count hits zero. If the tank is low, fill it with fresh AdBlue (ISO 22241) and drive for a few minutes; if the message says malfunction, refilling will not clear it. Then send us the registration, location and photo by WhatsApp or call.
'No start in 500 miles' means a fault or low level has been confirmed and it is time to act. 'No start in 100 miles' leaves little margin, so plan to stay where help can reach you. A full tank with the warning still on points to a level or quality sensor, a heater, or a stored fault the refill has not cleared. 'AdBlue system malfunction' means the car has found a fault in the system. Reduced power or limp mode means the engine is protecting itself, often AdBlue but not always. A vehicle that will not restart has reached zero. A NOx sensor warning means the sensors that check the SCR system are reporting a problem.
If the warning came back after a part was changed, the cause may be elsewhere: wiring, a second faulty part, or a fault that was cleared without being fixed. Tell us what was done.
Most diagnosis can be done wherever the vehicle is: home, work or roadside, as long as it is safe to work there. If the vehicle is immobilised, tell us so we can plan the visit.
We don't replace AdBlue parts. Our service is AdBlue Delete, also called AdBlue Removal: a software change that stops the engine running or monitoring the AdBlue system and clears the related warnings and countdown. We check your vehicle is suitable before quoting.
If we cannot complete the job, there is no charge. Lifetime Software Warranty: applies to the software work on that vehicle. If the covered software work develops a problem, we correct it again. Later software updates or recalls void the warranty, and callout charges are not covered.
