These codes identify the circuit or operating condition requiring investigation; they do not prove which part needs replacing. Record the complete Peugeot diagnostic description, code suffix, fault status and freeze-frame data before clearing anything. P2002 concerns particulate-filter efficiency and must not be confused with the SCR efficiency code P20EE. Some confirmed SCR faults can trigger a restart-inhibition countdown, but not every stored code does so.
- P20E8: Reductant pressure too low. Check measured pressure, supply, leaks and pump operation before condemning the tank assembly.
- P208E: Reductant injection valve performance/stuck closed, bank 1 unit 1. Investigate injector operation, deposits and its electrical control.
- P20EE: SCR NOx catalyst efficiency below threshold, bank 1. Dosing, NOx readings, exhaust conditions and catalyst performance require assessment.
- U029E: Lost communication with NOx sensor B. Check the applicable sensor arrangement, power, earth and communication wiring.
- P2002: Diesel particulate filter efficiency below threshold, bank 1. This is not an SCR catalyst-efficiency definition.
Confirm Which 3008 Has AdBlue
UK Peugeot 3008 BlueHDi diesels include 1.6, 1.5 and 2.0-litre versions across different production periods. SCR hardware, sensor arrangements and diagnostic procedures vary by engine and build date. Earlier HDi versions, including earlier diesel-hybrid configurations, should not be grouped automatically with BlueHDi SCR systems. Provide your registration so fitment can be checked; the VIN or an ECU identification scan may also be needed.
Warnings And Symptoms Worth Recording
Depending on the version, an SCR problem may produce a UREA or AdBlue warning, an engine warning, a service message or a remaining-distance countdown. A low-fluid warning and a confirmed emissions-system fault are not the same diagnosis. If a warning remains after filling, record the quantity added and follow the vehicle handbook's refill procedure rather than repeatedly adding fluid. White deposits may indicate dried AdBlue from a spill or leak, but deposits alone do not prove pump or injector failure. Do not rely on pump noise at ignition-on as a pass-or-fail test.
Diagnostic Checks Before Choosing a Repair
A suitable diagnostic scan should assess relevant control units, stored and current faults, and live data under the specified test conditions. Depending on the code, checks may include reductant pressure, injector dosing, fluid condition, tank readings, NOx sensor communication and exhaust leaks. NOx sensor communication faults and low reductant pressure require different test paths, even if they produce similar dashboard warnings. Registration details help identify the vehicle, but the installed software version must be checked through ECU identification.
Choosing the Next Step
Disabling SCR functions does not correct the underlying hardware fault and cannot be promised to resolve unrelated engine restrictions. For repair enquiries, ask for the test findings and the proposed work before authorising component replacement. If a restart countdown is displayed, arrange diagnosis promptly; topping up or clearing codes may not resolve a confirmed system malfunction. AdBlue Fix is a broad term, not a diagnosis. Depending on test results, the appropriate repair might involve wiring, a dosing injector, a sensor, a tank assembly or an applicable manufacturer software update. A fault code alone is not enough to choose the repair.
